GoToMyPC / Citrix Logo

Good news for all folks eagerly awaiting a GoToMyPC iPad app – here is what’s listed on GoToMyPC/Citrix’ website:

The development team at Citrix Online is currently working on GoToMyPC for the iPhone and iPad. There is no release date as of yet.
If you wish to receive notification* of the upcoming GoToMyPC app for iPhone and iPad, please subscribe to this topic on the right-side of your screen. (*emphasis added by IO)

Needless to say LogMeIn’s Ignition iPad app has been released for a while and a slew of positive reviews posted in the iTunes store (see the link above) somewhat counterbalances the app’s steep price ($29.99).

I’ve been using it for a couple of months right now – I am pretty happy with it even though I find the interface a bit clunky. Come on Citrix, let’s see what you have up your sleeve…

Hi , now September and clearly no movement in this thread or the development of an app. I posted the following comments to the customer service guy’s at Citrix. I’m clearly over it and amazed how this could even happen:

Your inability to communicate on why it has taken so long to produce a workable app for the Ipad has caused significant harm to my workplace argument that Citrix is the best in the remote access business. As I have tracked your silence on this issue over the past few months, I have actually changed my stance on this issue. I believe your inability to communicate with your clients has more to do with your organizations arrogance, than concern the marketplace will shun you for lack of progress. I am uncertain why you have not responded effectively to the incessant chatter occurring on various foura regarding your company’s inability to meet market demand in this area. If I ran my company this way I wouldn’t expect to last long in industry. I suggest you start looking at your existing talent pool and expand it. How can you not already have the expertise and capability to meet this obvious demand for a workable app? Shameful.

Agree with disgruntled…Citrix has really let us down here. Logmein has had their app for almost a year now….Gotomypc has issued nothing at all regarding this and has made it hard to get any updates and won’t even respond when you send them a question regarding the iPad app. We will definitely be keeping this in mind with renewing subscriptions. Shameful? Shameful indeed.

Seriously, how long does it take to release this iPad app? I’m considering cancelling my account because I can’t use gotomypc on my iPad.

These bozos have abandoned loyal users, like me. Time to give up and start looking for another option, right?

  8. Antijobs says:

I suspect this has something to do with mr Job’s anti java obsession. Still, no excuse not to update their loyal customers.

  9. Sg says:

Can’t be that hard to come up with a iPad app. We are going to change our 4 accounts of gotomypc to something else. Can’t wait ant longer

  10. Stuart says:

I have to say that I have been working with Citrix (as a partner/reseller) for over 10 years now and I have to concur they are total W**kers when it comes to delivering or communicating with the us idiots (aka customers). They are the most arrogant, heads up own arses, pratts you could ever meet. The hotest poduct on the market is the iPad and these guys, who probably spend tens of millions of dollars on marketing, dont have someone monitor these threads.

If it was my firm I would honestly be firing people. It really makes you want to punch some of these overpaid morons.

Lets go somewhere else where our busines is appreciated.

  11. Bill S says:

  12. Peter says:
